Overview

A thorough introduction to rock craft with the emphasis on safety and fun. The trip begins with “ground school” focusing on equipment, knots, anchors and belaying. Your guide will offer hands-on teaching of climbing techniques, communication signals and terminology.

The sites we use offer top-rope protected rock climbs up to 80 feet, with a variety of levels available. The day will be spent covering the absolute essentials for safely climbing steep rock and is a valuable course for those wishing to continue the sport. Classes are taught on low-angle, moderate rock suitable for novices.
