4th of July in Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara is an incredible place to spend 4th of July. The fireworks display at the beach is amazing – guests can view it from vistas all across town. If you are a local or just in town for the day, here is a list of fun activities happening this 4th of July. Have a fun holiday!

Spirit of ’76 Parade – The theme for Santa Barbara’s Annual July 4th Parade is The Gift of Individual Liberty. The grand march begins at 1:00 p.m. at Micheltorena Street and proceeds down State Street to Old Town Santa Barbara, concluding at Cota Street.

Concert in the Sunken Garden – Classical concert featuring pianist Bryan Tari at the S.B. Courthouse Sunken Gardens. The concert will take place Wednesday July 4th, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. after the parade.

4th of July Refugio Kayak Trip – This amazing day trip departs from Refugio State Beach at 10am. Includes a fun day of paddling and a deli style lunch on the beach. Guests often see marine life on this section of coastline, including whales, dolphins and sea lions. Come explore the ocean with us! $112 per person.

Santa Ynez Wine Country by Bike – Come explore Santa Barbara’s wine region on a fun and exciting tour by bike. Enjoy shuttle pick-up, van support, wine tasting and a picnic lunch. $162 per person.

Santa Barbara Waterfront Fireworks – Look for the BOOMS in the sky to start at 9:00pm. Make this a safe and fun event for everyone. Please be kind to your pets and leave them at home for their safety. Co-sponsored by SPARKLE and the city of Santa Barbara.
