Michael Cohen (Owner, Director, Outdoor Educator)
Michael founded Santa Barbara Adventure Company in 1998. Michael's background includes 18 years as a program coordinator and outdoor educator, as well as a river guide and Adventure Travel Outfitter. Through his years leading many school programs, Michael learned first-hand what it takes to create an unforgettable outdoor education experience. He has had the opportunity to work with dozens of schools, including Archer school for girls, Campbell Hall, Harvard Westlake and many others.
Christi Stockhaus (M.Ed, Educational Director)
Christi develops programs for the Outdoor Classroom. With a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as years of teaching experience, Christi knows how to help schools create incredible experiences that will impact students for years to come. As a teacher, she spent many of her summer's enjoying the outdoors and guiding trips for students of all ages. Christi spent four years as a full time faculty lecturer. In addition to her regular lecture courses, she created and taught exciting outdoor education courses for undergraduate students.

Rachel Harvey, (B.A. Global Studies, Program Development)
Rachel earned her Bachelors Degree in Global Studies from University California at Santa Barbara. She has extensive experience working with children in the outdoors. Rachel is a volunteer leader with the Boy Scouts of America, leading annual rock climbing and backpacking trips in Joshua Tree National Park and New Mexico. She has served as a guide in the field for Santa Barbara Adventure Company, and is now working with educational groups to develop outdoor experiences that will challenge and inspire young minds.
Brina Carey (B.S. Outdoor Recreation, Field Coordinator)
Brina holds a Bachelors of Science in Outdoor Recreation Administration. She has been working with youth since 1997, including youth at risk and those with developmental disabilities. As an Interpreter for CA State Parks; she developed curriculum, trained docents, and gave interpretive presentations herself. She also spent time as a field biologist working with birds, pinnipeds, and native plants and loves to share her knowledge of the coastal environment. Brina's love for the outdoors and commitment to outdoor education will ensure a fun and meaningful experience for students.
