Easter Egg Hunts in Santa Barbara

Spring is in the air! It is time to decorate eggs, get out your Easter basket and do some hunting. If you are in Santa Barbra for the Easter holiday and are looking for a fun way to spend your day, there are lots of great Easter celebrations. You can venture out to wine country and enjoy beautiful views while egg hunting or take a ride on the Easter Bunny Express! Easter Sunday is April 1, but many of these events take place on Saturday, March 31. Here is a list of some favorite Easter events for you to attend.

The Great Egg Hunt at Elings Park – Saturday March 31 from 10am to noon
10:30 am – Baby Bunnies ages 0 to 3, 10:45 am – Daring Ducks ages 4 to 6,11:00 am – Jack Rabbits ages 7 and up. Bounce House fun, Easter Bunny and More! Come to the softball field and enjoy a fun morning of candy filled egg hunting. Please bring your own basket. Parking costs $5. Egg hunting is free.

Riverbench Easter Egg Hunt – Saturday March 31 Starting at 11am
Riverbench Winery is hosting a family friendly Easter Egg Hunt with prizes for everyone. Be sure to arrive on time as the hunt start promptly at 11am (child 7 and under only) & 2pm (all ages). Kids will be awarded candies and chocolate bunnies. Cost: $5 per child – Bring a blanket if you plan to picnic on the lawn and a basket for egg collecting and be sure to register early, as this event often sells out.

Kids’ Easter Egg Hunt at La Mesa Park – Saturday March 31 Starting at 9am
All families are welcome to attend this fun Easter tradition! Kids up through the 5th grade can participate in the hunt. Please bring a dozen candy-filled eggs to donate.

Community Easter Egg Hunt at Cambridge Drive Community Church at 10am
Over 3,000 eggs, special prize eggs, visit from the Easter Bunny and more make for a fun-filled morning. Pre-schoolers through 6th graders can participate in the hunt. The hunt begins at 10am sharp. This event is free, but please bring new adult socks to donate.

Easter Kayaking at the Channel Islands – Saturday March 31 or Sunday April 1
Explore California’s Sea Caves! Located on Santa Cruz Island; the beautiful Channel Islands National Park offers an amazing day trip. This day trip departs out of the Ventura Harbor. Enjoy dolphin and marine life on the cruise to the island, once there groups will explore the cave in kayaks and have the opportunity to snorkel or hike. Call for details 805-884-9283.
