Santa Barbara Surf Film Festival
When: 6/9 & 6/10
Where: Lobero Theatre
For decades, Santa Barbara has been a hub for surf innovators, shaping both board design and surfing styles. It boasts of unique surf culture, blending tradition and innovation, influencing the global surf scene for over half a century. The 3rd Annual Santa Barbara Surf Film Festival held over two days at the historic Lobero Theatre, celebrates this rich history and the diverse contributions of filmmakers, artists, shapers, and surfers.

Summer Solstice Celebration
WHEN: June 23 – 25
WHERE: Alameda Park
As one of Santa Barbara County’s biggest art events, it features vibrant artwork, costumes, and performances. The festivity begins on June 23 with a ticketed concert, delicious food, and merchants. The highlight, the Solstice Parade, kicks off at noon on June 24 at the intersection of Santa Barbara Street and Ortega, concluding at Alameda Park for an afternoon of continued celebration.

Butterflies Alive! at the Museum of Natural History
WHEN: Every day in June
TIME: 10am-5pm
WHERE: Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History – 2259 Puesta del Sol
Walk through a beautiful garden while nearly 1,000 live butterflies flutter freely around you. The exhibit features a dazzling variety of butterflies, from local favorites to exotic tropical species. Learn about the life cycle and behavior of these spectacular invertebrates while observing them up close.

Sunset Kayak in Santa Barbara Harbor
When: Every evening in June
Where: Santa Barbara Harbor

State Street Promenade Market
When: Every Thursday in June
Time: 3:00-7:30pm
Where: 1000 Block of State Street
The State Street Promenade Market is a weekly outdoor market and event in collaboration with the City of Santa Barbara. Every Thursday local businesses, artisans, non-profits, restaurants, and performers join in creating a local’s night for the community to enjoy right on State Street! A variety of different vendors and community partners are invited to help make this a special place. 

Sea Cave Kayak at Channel Islands National Park

When:
 Every Saturday and Tuesday
Where: Corner of Santa Barbara and Cota Streets (Sundays) / 500-600 blocks of State Street (Tuesdays)

Come down and buy local fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers, small plants and specialty items. Street musicians, music and downtown shops and restaurants.
