What are the eligibility requirements for a snorkeling tour?

Snorkeling tours are open to individuals who acknowledge their ability to meet the following essential eligibility criteria:

  1. Ages 10 and older. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult guardian, with at least one adult supervisor taking responsibility for all minors in a party.
  2. Know how to swim independently without the assistance of a flotation device or life jacket.
  3. Float motionless for at least 10 minutes without assistance.
  4. Tread water in place with head out of the water for 5 minutes without assistance.
  5. Swim continuously at any speed for 10 minutes without becoming exhausted.
  6. Have prior snorkeling experience (intermediate to advanced skill levels recommended).
  7. Wear contact lenses on the day of the excursion if vision correction is needed, as prescription glasses are incompatible with provided snorkel masks.
  8. Participate in surface ocean exploration only (tours do not accommodate freediving).
