Work Season: Our busy season stretches from April – November with our peak months being June – September. Generally we need all of our guides available from May – November but there are some employees who work year round as we do continue to operate through the winter months. We operate mostly day trips out of Santa Barbara but the job does have opportunities for multi day programs at the Channel Islands, camping and cabin based environmental programs and corporate retreats. A flexible schedule and full time availability is required from all guides from mid-June – mid October.
Career Opportunities: We offer a lot of training across all of our activities which means you will have a lot of experience and new skills to put on your resume after working with us. Seasoned guides and those with prior experience can be promoted to other management positions in the field including Lead Guide, Program Coordinator and Field Coordinator and we always look to hire from within as office based positions open up in sales, logistics, marketing and management.
